The On-Stage Foundation today announced work has begun on installation of a brand-new, state-of-the-art sound system for the Red Barn Summer Theatre.  Jeremy Mang of Whisper Studios, with the assistance of Barn Artistic Director Michael Taylor and his summer crew, is installing a Beringer X-32 soundboard, replacing tired speakers with new Turbosound IQ8 speakers, swapping old amps with new ones, hanging area microphones and completely re-wiring the sound cabling. Jeremy Mang, a 2005 graduate of Frankfort High School, owns Whisper Studios (whisper-studios.com) in Kokomo.

For the first time the Red Barn will have a custom-designed sound system that will ensure a clarity and crispness of sound in all seats of the theatre.

Director Taylor says,” This will be a completely new sound system that will bring a consistency of sound to our performances that our audience has never heard before.”

Due to constraints caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Board of Directors postponed the 2020 season but staff are continuing to make improvements in anticipation of the 2021 season.

Rex Camp, Chief Administrative Officer of On-Stage Foundation, says, “The new sound system was made possible through a generous grant from North Central Health Services, administered by the Tippecanoe Arts Federation.  Additional support was received from the Clinton County Community Foundation, an important local corporation and more than 30 individual donors of the Red Barn Summer Theatre.”
