Registration for Leadership Carroll County has officially opened this week with enrollment extending through Aug. 1 with a start date for the program on Sept. 11 for community members to experience a 9-month leadership program designed to empower current leaders in the community and develop emerging leaders.

The program offers participants opportunities to experience a series of personal and professional workshops while immersing themselves in the resources that the Carroll County community offers.

The curriculum includes a variety of personal leadership and development topics as well as information regarding the county and current issues, and the program is set to utilize a combination of local resources and nationally-recognized leadership development programs to continue the development of current and future leaders in the community.

Carroll County Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Jacob Adams expressed his thoughts regarding the benefits of the program as it prepares to accept its newest class of participants.

“We are extremely excited to continue offering this great program to the community,” Adams said. “The most important resource we have in Carroll County is the people that live, work and play here. Leadership Carroll County continues to provide the fundamental tools to enhance the knowledge base of our current or emerging leaders.”

Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Julia Leahy echoed Adams’ thoughts, stating that the fostering of emerging leadership within Carroll County has been at the forefront of the missions for numerous organizations as leadership paves the path to success.

“We recognize the need for a leadership program in Carroll County,” Leahy said. “This will be important as we continue to grow and develop new talent in our communities. We greatly appreciate the Carroll County Community Foundation for its continued commitment to our community.”

The Leadership Carroll County program stands as a partnership between the Carroll County Economic Development Corporation, Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, Camp Tecumseh YMCA and the Family Health Clinic. The program was ignited and supported through funding from the Carroll County Community Foundation.
