Remington Woman Injured in ORV Crash

Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an Off-Road Vehicle crash involving injury that occurred early Sunday morning.

At approximately 1:14 a.m., White County 911 Communications received a call of an ORV Crash in the 10000 block W on 600 N in White County.

Amanda Boles (40) of Remington was operating a 2008 Honda 400cc four-wheeler on a gravel road when she lost control of the machine. The four-wheeler rolled over before coming to a rest in a nearby cornfield.

Amanda sustained three broken ribs, lung injuries, a broken scapula and lacerations to the head in the incident. Amanda was transported to IU Arnett Hospital via Wolcott Ambulance and Tippecanoe Ambulance to receive medical treatment. Alcohol is believed to be a factor and is still under investigation at this time.

Amanda was not wearing a helmet or any other safety equipment at the time of the crash. Conservation Officers want to stress the importance of helmets and refraining from drugs or alcohol when riding an Off-Road Vehicle.
