Republican Party Caucus To Fill City Council Vacancy Has Been Rescheduled

Clinton County Republican Chairman Jim Moyer has announced that he has received word from the Clinton County Clerk that a vacancy exists in an elective office following the resignation of Mike Brite as City Councilman District 3.

The original caucus was scheduled for Saturday, October 21. However, that caucus will now be held on Saturday, November 4, at 10 a.m. to fill the vacancy. Only Republican precinct chairman in District 3 will vote.

A person wishing to be a candidate for this position must file a Declaration of Candidacy with the Republican Chairman  before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1.

A Declaration of Candidacy (form CEB-5) may be obtained from Republican headquarters or the City Clerk-Treasurer’s Office in Old Stoney at 301 E. Clinton St., Frankfort.

County Clerk will be notified of selection on November 6th,  and new Councilman takes office on this date.
