Republican Party to Hold Two Caucuses for Positions on City and County Council

Clinton County Republican Party Chairman Jim Moyer has received word rom the Clinton County Clerk that a vacancy exists in an elective office as Clark Beard has resigned as county councilman at-large.

A caucus will be held on Saturday, December 16, at 10 a.m. to fill this vacancy. Only Republican precinct chairmen will vote.

A person wishing to be a candidate for this position must file a Declaration of Candidacy with the Republican chairman before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13. A Declaration of Candidacy (CEB-5) may be obtained from Republican headquarters or the City Clerk-Treasurer’s Office in Old Stoney at 301 E. Clinton St., Frankfort.

A caucus will be held on Tuesday, December 19, at 5 p.m. to fill this four-year vacancy. Only Republican precinct chairmen will vote.

A person wishing to be a candidate for this position must file a Declaration of Candidacy with the Republican chairman before 10 a.m. on Friday, December 15. A Declaration of Candidacy (CEB-5) may be obtained from Republican headquarters or the City Clerk-Treasurer’s Office in Old Stoney at 301 E. Clinton St., Frankfort.
