Resolution To Rename Portion Of SR 75 In Memory Of Deputy Noah Rainey Unanimously Passes Senate

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has announced that a resolution urging the Indiana Department of Transportation to rename a portion of a state highway in Carroll County the Deputy Sheriff Noah C. rainey memorial Road unanimously passed the Senate yesterday, Thursday, April 3.

The resolution would ask INDOT to rename the portion of State Road 75 between County Road 700 South and County Road 800 South in honor of Deputy Rainey, who was killed in the lines of duty on Jan. 29, 2022.

Rainey was a six-year veteran of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department and gave his life to protect the residents of Carroll County, and the recognition is intended to ensure that his memory will last for generations to come.

Rainey’s name is engraved into the Law Enforcement Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C.
