Richard “Dick” McKinzie, 83, of Frankfort, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born January 11, 1935, in Frankfort to Reldo and Effie (Singleton) McKinzie. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. On August 9, 1988, he married Cathy (Scircle) Leach in Bardstown, KY. He worked for 17 years for various construction companies. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and going to the casino.
Along with his wife, Dick is survived by children, Melanie (Joe) Falvey and Matthew Baumgartner, both of St. Petersburg, FL, Loretta (Jeff) Kells, of Lakeland, FL, Barri (Mike) Andreoli, of Zionsville, and Brian (Teresa) Leach, Lori (Richard) Walker, and Stacy Leach, all of Frankfort; a sister, Bonnie (Ed) Eddingfield, of Lima, OH; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 13 siblings.
