Richard “Rick” G. Hudson, 67, of Lafayette, formerly of Frankfort, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Creasy Springs Health Campus. Born December 13, 1956, in Indianapolis to Charles and Elizabeth “Betty” (Lowe) Hudson.
Rick graduated from Frankfort High School in 1975. He was a hardworking man, putting in 35 years at Wabash National until his retirement in 2023. He enjoyed hunting and hanging out with his friends. His passion was riding his Harley and made road trips through the 48 of the 50 United States. His true love was his family. He loved hanging out and making memories with them, especially his grandkids.
Rick is survived by his children, Shawn Hudson and Melissa (Jeff) Smith; sisters, Vicki Miller and Sue Collins; grandchildren, Madison Henry, Christopher Crume, Leland Smith and Miaya Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Cassandra Huffer.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 4 to 7pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 1pm at the funeral home.
