Rigoberto Cruz Santos, 46, of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born February 13, 1972, in Mexico, to Maximiano Cruz Santos and Francisca S. Santos; his mother survives in Mexico. Rigoberto worked at Coomer’s in Colfax. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rigoberto loved music and enjoyed watching baseball especially the Dodgers.
Surviving Rigoberto are his sisters, Paulina Cruz (Rey Coloa) and Adrianna Cruz (Jacimo Velasco); two brothers, Roaelio Guijosa (Janet Takajasi) and Joselues Guijosa; and cousins, Crispan Santos (Lilly Garcia) and Refugio Alanis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Chris Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort. Memorials in Rigoberto’s name may be made to the family to help with expenses.
