Robert “Bob” Malone, 80, longtime Indianapolis resident, died August 23, 2020 at Mulberry Health, Mulberry, Ind. He was born on May 18, 1940 in Rural Treat, Virginia to Robert B. and Pauline (Babb) Goss. He was raised by his mother Pauline and Clyde Goss, Jr. He married Rita M. Hunt and she preceded him in death on April 17, 2011.
Bob was raised in Tennessee. He served in the United States Army. He worked for Clark Diesel as a mechanic and retired from there.
Surviving are his Sons: Robert Dale Malone of Indianapolis and Michael Douglas Malone of Brazil, Indiana; Daughter: Debra (Randall) Fugate of Indianapolis; Brothers: James D. (Pam) Goss of Frankfort and Don Malone of Evansville; Sisters: Kathy (Randy) Crider of Hillisburg and June (Brian) Huffer of Frankfort. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, and his spouse, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Landen and David, and 2 sisters: Betty and Barbara.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2020 at Floral Park Cemetery, 3659 Cossell Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222. Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S.
