Robert Franklin ‘Bobby’ Bray, 70 of Frankfort, died December 10, 2020 at his home. He was born November 12, 1950 in Lebanon, Ind. to Norman & Vera Jean (Ottinger) Bray. He married Sheryl Freeman in 1980 and they have enjoyed 40 years together.
Bobby was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea. He retired from Federal Mogul after 38 years. Bobby was baptized in Lebanon. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #976 and had been a bar manager there for 6 years. He was a slot machine enthusiast, enjoyed casino’s, camping, playing poker with his family. Bobby was a friend to everyone and never knew a stranger.
He was survived by his Wife: Sheryl Bray of Frankfort, 3 Step-Sons: John (Kelli) Faucett, Jeff ‘Hefty’ (Jennifer) Faucett and Jamie Faucett, Nephew that he raised: Taylor Smith, Siblings: Judy Gates, Jerry (Donna) Bray, Dick Bray, Rodney (Renee) Bray, Jo Ann Howe, Jeff (Jennifer) Bray and Brenda Hettinger, Grandchildren: Kierstin, Bo, Tatum, Reece, Riley, Chance, Jaden and Jacie. Several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers-in-law, Bob Gates and Dan Freeman
Funeral Service:
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Private family services will be held. Burial with Military honors will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
