Roberto Dias, 81, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024, surrounded by his family at IU Health Arnett Hospital. He was born June 7, 1943, in Rio Verde, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He married Jerlene Scott in July of 2000, though they have been together since 1978. She survives.
Roberto was a member of Masonry Union #274. He worked in masonry, brick laying, and stonework. He was a hardworking man, always busy with his hands and doing physical labor. He enjoyed cooking, a good fiesta and siesta, socializing with his friends, being in nature and spending time walking in its beauty, and fishing. Roberto was a great provider and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He would often be seen taking the littles in the red wagon down to the store so they could get their candy. He will be remembered by the joy he brought to others with his laughter and smiles.
Along with his wife of 24 years, Roberto is survived by his children, stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two children.
