Roger L. Impson, 88, of Frankfort, passed away July 10, 2025 at Maple Park Village in Westfield. He was born on August 15, 1936 in Fairfield, Ohio to Alva Lee and Mary (Bryant) Impson. He married Emily Dove and she preceded him in death in 1969. He then married Scarlett Rose and she preceded him in death on October 3, 1999. His final marriage was to Jean Laflen and she preceded him in death on August 5, 2017.
Roger graduated from the Pilgrim Holiness College High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the City of Frankfort in the Parks Department and at Peter Paul in Frankfort. He was a former member of the First Wesleyan Church and Victory Chapel. His other membership was to the Moose Lodge in Frankfort. Roger enjoyed playing horseshoes and won several tournaments.
Surviving are his children: James (Barbara) Impson, Joe Impson, Mary Rogers, Bethann Newman, Faith Brown, and Rebecca Reedman, step-children: Rhonda Dillon, Allen Laflen, Teena Davey, Lisa Fording (longtime caregiver), and Deanna Day, brother: Leon Impson, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three wives, son: Mark Impson, and step-children: Dennis and Timothy Laflen.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p .m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. Friends may visit from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in Bunnell Cemetery, Frankfort.
