Ronald Gene Cheek, 59, of Summitville, Ind., passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at his home. He was born on March 28, 1958 in Tipton, IN to Jesse J. & Wilma (Yeary) Cheek. Gene was formerly married to Peggy Napper. Ronald worked as a Welder and was a veteran of the US Army from 1976-1977. He was a member of the Milwaukee Iron Motorcycle Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping.
He is survived by: Mother: Wilma Cheek of Summitville, Sister: Linda Schweitzer of Alexandra, IN, 2 Sons: Joshua Cheek and Calvin Cheek both of Oklahoma City, 3 Daughters: Jessica Cheek of Oklahoma City, Tia Cheek of Kansas City, MO, Lea Cheek of Alexandra, IN, 2 Nieces: Kim Harrington (Marc Swindell), Michelle Harrington.
As well as several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ronald was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Richard James Cheek.

Visitation will be 12-1 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort, Ind. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. following the visitation at the funeral home.
