Ronald R. “Ron” Leibenguth

Ronald R. “Ron” Leibenguth, 79, of rural Lafayette, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, at his home. He was born November 13, 1942, in Lafayette, to Raymond R. and Pauline (Biery) Leibenguth.  In 1961, he married Jennifer Huffer; they later divorced in 1990 but always remained close.

Ron attended Dayton High School and always enjoyed going to their alumni banquets. He  was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 157 in Terre Haute for over 50 years. Ron was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, gardening, eating, and spending time in the woods, but most importantly, Ron loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Ron is survived by his son, Troy Leibenguth of Lafayette; sister, Rosalind Ummel of Lafayette; grandchildren, Zach (Samantha) Leibenguth, Curtis Vancel, Ryan (Kim) Leibenguth, Nolan Myers, and Austin Myers; great grandchildren, Jaxon Leibenguth, Rhett Leibenguth, Karson Myers, River Leibenguth, and Norah Leibenguth; longtime companion, Janet Windler and her children, Brian Moore, Lani (Alex) Lentz, Kerry (Denny) Faucett, and Sherry (Troy) Dudley; and her grandchildren, Zac, Zane, Ivan, Aidan, Daulton, Dane, and Myah; and his faithful canine buddy, Camo.

In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by two daughters, Tamara Lynn Wilson and Alicia Leibenguth.

Per Ron’s wishes, there will be no services. Inurnment will be in Fair Haven Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials in Ron’s honor may be made to Clinton County Humane Society PO Box 455 Frankfort, IN  46041   Online condolences may be left at www.gendafuneralhome.com.
