Rosalie Staley

Rosalie Mae Staley, 99, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Wesley Manor in Frankfort. She was born in Frankfort on September 22, 1921 to Michael and Bessie (Bates) Helmberger.  She married Carl Leroy Staley on June 24, 1945; he preceded her in death on April 16, 2002.

Rosalie was a graduate of Jackson Township Schools.  She worked for PR Mallory for 27 years.  She was a member of Michigantown Christian Church and Eastern Star of Frankfort.  She was a Pink Lady at Clinton County Hospital and enjoyed crocheting and knitting.

Rosalie is survived her son, James Staley (Laurie) of Frankfort; daughter, Beverly Wilson (Raymond) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; son-in-law, Dennis Michael Young (Patty) of Frankfort; brother, Michael J. Helmberger; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sandra Young; brother, Marvin Helmberger; and sisters, Dorothy Siddons, Sylvia Johnson, and Florence Timmons.

A private family funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 16 at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort with a live stream available at www.gendafuneralhome.com for those who would like to join virtually.  Pastor Karl Kercheval will officiate.  Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery, Frankfort.
