Rose Acre Farms Host Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Rose Acre Farms recently hosted their community egg hunt and family fun day in Frankfort on Friday, April 12. Despite strong winds, hundreds of guests came out to TPA Park for the annual event.

This year, the event featured games, agriculture trivia, a petty zoo, essay contests, egg decorating, magic shows, jugglers and a silent auction. New to this year’s event were trackless train rides for both children and adults.

Easter egg hunts were held for three separate age groups. Over 5,000 Easter eggs were hid and over 175 prizes were given out for Easter egg winners. Children up to 13 years old participated in the event.

Community members such as Clinton County Farm Bureau, Clinton County Sheriff Association, Indiana Adoption and Foster Program, Clinton Prairie FFA and Clinton County Humane Society were present at the event. Cornerstone Food Bank also held a food drive and collected over 400 pounds of food. Over $450 more was given to the food bank through donations and proceeds from the silent auction.

An essay contest for local students based on agriculture’s impact in the local community was held for the fifth straight year. Plaques were presented to winners from various FFA chapters in Clinton County.

Rose Acre Farms has been hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt & Community Fun Day since 2013. On average, the event attracts upwards of 260 children and 250 adults.
