Rossville Assistant Principal Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash

WLFI is reporting that a three-vehicle crash on Veterans Memorial Parkway Friday morning sent two people to the hospital, including Rossville High School Assistant Principal William Smith.

According to police, 25-year-old Erin Schneider, who was driving a black Honda Accord, was critically injured. Smith, the driver of a Chevy Silverado pickup truck, had non-life threatening injuries. Both were taken to the hospital.

A third vehicle in the crash sustained damage after swerving to miss the other cars. That driver was not injured.

The crash closed Veterans Memorial Parkway between Concord Road and Sagamore Parkway around 6:30 Friday morning. Police officials said it was a head-on collision after one of the vehicles crossed the center line. As of now, authorities are unable to say which car it was.
