Rossville Consolidated School District Maintains Lowest Tax Rate In Clinton County Following Issuance Of 2025 Budget Order

The Indiana Department of Local Government Finance has issued the 2025 Budget Order, which provides detailed tax rates for each governmental entity within Clinton County, including public school districts, and Rossville Consolidated School District announced that it has achieved the lowest certified tax rate among all public school districts within the county.

Rossville Schools was detailed to have a rate of $0.77 per $100 of assessed valuation, which compares to the other Clinton County schools that have certified tax rates ranging from $0.83 to $1.22 per $100 of assessed valuation.

The issuance of the 2025 Budget Order followed a thorough process with key milestones, including:

March 1, 2024: The county assessor delivered the ratio study to the DLGF
March 19, 2024: The ratio study was approved by the DLGF.
Aug. 7, 2024: The county auditor certified net assessed values to the DLGF (due Aug. 1, 2024).
Jan. 13, 2025: The DLGF certified the Budget Order (due Jan. 15, 2025).

Rossville Schools Superintendent Dr. Jim Hanna expressed his enthusiasm for the designation of the lowest tax rate among the local public schools.

“This recognition underscores our commitment to maintaining affordability for our taxpayers while ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education,” Hanna said. “We are grateful to our community for their support and to our team for their diligence in managing resources effectively.”
