Rossville High School celebrated the outstanding achievements of its student musicians at the Indiana State School Music Association, ISSMA, District Solo and Ensemble event held on Saturday in Kokomo as seven dedicated members of Rossville Bands showcased their talents and hard work to earn top honors for their performances.
Each student spent the last two months preparing their individual pieces to showcase to the judges their dedication, skill and persevance as they were evaluated.
Results:
- Reagan Stevenson, Lily Stevenson, Izzie Cree, Olivia James, Kyndra Brown and Faith Robbins (High School Wind Ensemble): Gold Rating
- Fynn Maish (Snare Drum Solo): Silver Rating
- Annabel Kreps (Clarinet Solo): Gold Rating with a Perfect Score
“These students should be incredibly proud of the effort they put into their performances,” High School Principal Mike Hammons said. “It takes great courage and commitment to prepare and perform at this level, and they represented Rossville High School with excellence.”
The Rossville High School Band is under the direction of Anna Fink. Many of the individuals will return to Kokomo this upcoming weekend for the vocal portion of the ISSMA competition.
