Both teams held each other to zero runs in the first five innings before the Hornets offense was able to kick their bats into gear in the sixth inning to score three runs, which were the only three runs scored in the faceoff, with two runs courtesy of pitcher Avery Layton who secured a 2-run home run.

After a no-scoring seventh inning, the Hornets took home the Regional Champion title with a score of 3 to 0 with four hits and only one error compared to the Panthers’ two hits and one error.
