Rossville Schools Being Closed Due to COVID-19 Cases

Rossville Schools has been informed of two positive COVID-19 cases within the middle school/high school student population. We are following the CDC guidelines for contact tracing and have identified a large group of students who fall within the criteria. The criteria includes being within six feet for a total of 15 minutes of an individual with a confirmed positive case and within two days of the symptom onset of these individuals.

The Indiana State Department of Health will contact those families that have been identified for contact tracing. The student’s home phone number that is listed in PowerSchool is the telephone number the state has been provided. Should your child have been considered in close contact, you will receive a call within 24-48 hours from the ISDH Contact Tracing should they meet the criteria.

If you do NOT receive a call, your child has NOT been identified as a close contact and are low risk therefore you are to monitor for COVID symptoms.

If you do receive a call from contact tracing, your child will need to be isolation for 14 days. The ISDH Contact Tracing will guide you on their return date.

Students will NOT be in attendance on Friday, September 25. We will conduct eLearning on Friday, September 25.
