Despite the unexpected disruption, staff quickly implemented procedures to ensure a safe and orderly student dismissal. The district was able to efficiently coordinate transportation, bring in bus drivers, and communicate clearly with staff, students, and families to facilitate a smooth transition.

Backup systems enabled Rossville Schools to maintain phone, internet, and public address services for nearly two hours after the initial outage. Core systems remained operational throughout the incident due to generator support, enabling continued coordination and communication with staff and families during a critical time.
