Rossville Consolidated School District announced that Superintendent Dr. Jim Hanna was selected to speak at the 2024 Zonar Together National Conference in Dallas, Texas from Oct. 21 through Oct. 22 among 12 distinguished presenters.
The annual event was established to bring leaders and experts together to discuss student transportation safety and efficiency advancements. Hanna’s presentation detailed “Ensuring Safe Journeys: The Transformative Power of Tech in School Transportation,” which was designed to provide insight into how Rossville School District has utilized Zonar’s advanced GPS and monitoring systems to ensure safe transportation for students.
The presentation detailed how the implementation of the technology solutions enhances bus tracking, driver accountability and safety for the students. Hanna’s presentation reportedly included a critical incident that underscored the importance of dependable technology in safeguarding students.
Attendees also learned about the benefits of the systems, which include real-time bus tracking, electronic pre-trip inspections and post-route checks to confirm buses are empty.
Hanna expressed his thoughts regarding the presentation and benefits that he highlighted for the system.
