Ava Burkle scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help lead Rossville to a 37-23 girls’ basketball victory over North White Thursday night in Rossville.
Cortney Hoffman and Allie Elliott gave scored nine points for the Lady Hornets, which led 23-9 at halftime and holding North White scoreless in the second quarter. Hoffman also had a team-high four assists and Addi Gobett chipped in with seven rebounds.
Frankfort Girls Drop Pair of Games
Delphi raced out to a 15-8 lead after a quarter and rolled to a 54-21 girls’ basketball victory over Frankfort Thursday night in Delphi.
Saira Flores led FHS with 10 points. Vannessa Guardado tallied five. On the glass, Evelyn Vasquez-Bautista led the Lady Hogs with 11 rebounds, followed by Flores with eight and Ashely Vasquez-Rivera grabbed six.
On Tuesday night, Sheridan broke out to a 28-3 lead after one quarter on its way to a 55-20 victory at Case Arena.
Daizy Santos Valdez and Guardado led FHS in scoring with eight apiece. Flores led the team in rebounds with 10 and Vasquez-Rivera led in steals with three. FHS had 14 deflections in the contest/
