Ruby Jenkins

Ruby Mae Jenkins was born on October 17, 1932 as the first of three children to Alva and Virginia Wagoner near Mulberry, IN.  She peacefully passed on April 30, 2022 at her home.  She was baptized on June 25, 1950.  She was united in marriage to Ralph Henry Jenkins on October 17, 1956 and were married for 50 years until his passing.  Ruby lived most of her life in the Rossville area.  She was a very diligent, hardworking and industrious woman that possessed a “can-do” attitude and enjoyed figuring things out.  She worked several jobs including department store, furniture factory, bank, and grocery store.  She operated a ceramic shop for many years at her home and taught many others how to make ceramics.  She enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, mowing, and sewing among many other homemaking skills.  

She is survived by her children, Rosalyn (Duane) Bower, Roger (Ann) Jenkins, and Randy (Sarah) Jenkins; a sister, Joan Cover; sixteen grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brother, Harris Wagoner; her in-laws, Seth and Virgil Jenkins; sister-in-laws, Naomi Jenkins, Dorothy Eikenberry, Mary Ellen Miller; and bother-in-laws, Raymond Cover, Carl Jenkins, Bryce Eikenberry, and Lloyd Miller.

Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2022 from 2-5pm and 6-8pm at Cutler Ridge Old German Baptist Brethren Church.  Funeral Services will be held at 10am, Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the church.  Burial will follow at North Fork Cemetery.  Genda Funeral Home in Rossville is assisting with the arrangements.
