Russell E. “Rutt” Myers 74, of Colfax, IN, died at 3:01 a.m. November 11, 2018 at home. Rutt was born August 14, 1944 in Frankfort, IN to Lee C. Myers and Mary Frances (Ewing) Myers. He married Rebecca M. Payne on December 8, 1968 in Frankfort, IN and she survives.
Rutt was a 1963 graduate of Frankfort High School and was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Vietnam War. He retired from Eli Lilly and had previously worked at Staley’s. He was a member of the Colfax Christian Church, enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing and just tinkering. He loved going to Strawtown every Thursday with friends and family.

10 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren survive
Preceded in death by his parents and a sister-Ann Scott.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday November 14, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home 200 S. Main St. Frankfort, IN. Visitation with family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday November 13, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial with full Military Honors will be in Plainview Cemetery, Colfax, IN.
