Russiaville Expands Community Recreation with Multi-Organization Effort

Residents of Russiaville are benefiting from a collaborative effort among three local organizations to provide expanded recreational areas and amenities. The Russiaville Lions Club began developing its property in the 1950s, while the Town of Russiaville and local Ball Leagues added adjacent facilities starting in the 2010s.

In the coming weeks, construction will begin on a new picnic shelter, restroom facilities, and an inclusive playground east of the Jeff Stout Community Center, further enhancing the area’s offerings for all residents.

Current Amenities Include:

Russiaville Lions Club – 6.25 acres

  • Lions Clubhouse – 5,300 sq. ft., with 3,860 sq. ft. main room
  • Approximately 100 gravel parking spots, with additional edge and grass parking
  • Three ball diamonds (two receiving new lights from the RYBL)
  • Press boxes, dugouts, concession stand, and restrooms
  • Basketball court
  • One memorial installation

Town of Russiaville – 8.5 acres

  • Community Center – 4,930 sq. ft., with 2,500 sq. ft. main room
  • 152 asphalt parking spots
  • Two horseshoe courts
  • Nine-hole disc golf course
  • North loop of the 0.63-mile walking trail
  • Two art installations
