At approximately 7:47 p.m. Tuesday, a 2007 Freightliner semi pulling a 2017 Fontaine rolled over closing the right lane of northbound I-65. Preliminary investigation by Trooper Dexter Whitten revealed the semi, driven by Nicholas Kopeloff, age:23, of Schaumburg, IL, failed to negotiate the northbound on-ramp at the 178MM and rolled his vehicle, loosing a 42,000 pound steel coil in the right lane.
The road was reduced to a single lane while the crash is cleaned up. Kopeloff was not injured during the crash.
