Republican State Senator Jim Buck announced today that he has filed for reelection in Senate District 21, which is composed of Tipton County and portions of Hamilton and Howard counties.

A principled conservative and staunch defender of the US Constitution, Buck is committed to continuing to represent Hoosiers with experience, honesty and integrity.
“I was raised with traditional Hoosier values – that hard work, faith, and personal responsibility build character and are the cornerstones of strong families and strong communities,” Buck said. “I’m a lifelong Hoosier who raised my family here with those same values. These are the guiding principles I follow everyday in my service to the citizens of District 21 and Indiana.”
Buck’s experience in manufacturing and as a small business owner and licensed real estate broker have helped shape his core values that guide him every day as our representative at the Statehouse.
“I learned the importance of limited government, fiscal responsibility and policies that allow small businesses and workers to thrive and be an important contributor to Indiana’s economy,” Buck said.
Throughout his career Jim has championed:
- Protection of individual freedoms and local control
- Support of veterans, families and first responders
- Policies that strengthen Indiana’s economy and communities
- Protecting the lives of the unborn
- Safeguarding our Second Amendment freedoms
Buck’s dedication to these core conservative values and leadership on these issues has been recognized by many organizations including CPAC and the American Conserviative Union. He has also received the Indiana Chamber’s Champion of Small Business Award and honors from the Indiana State Police Alliance for his consistent support of law enforcement and public safety.
His legislative priorities include:
- Defending our constitutional rights
- Lowering taxes and cutting spending
- Securing our Elections
- Improving education by empowering parents
- Combating illegal immigration
“For me, public service isn’t about politics, Buck said. “It’s about keeping Indiana a place where families, businesses and communities can prosper for generations to come – and that our state remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family. I will continue to champion these issues because I know the success of our state and our Hoosier families depends on it.”
Buck and his wife Judy have raised five daughters. They reside in Kokomo and are active in the local community and in their church.
