The 29th Annual Senior Fair will be held today (Wednesday) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Life Center, which is behind the First Church of the Nazarene at 2056 E. Wabash St., in Frankfort or right across from Frankfort High School. All seniors age 50-and-above are invited to attend. This year’s theme is “Happy Days”.
There will be free admission along with door prizes and fun. Seniors can visit nearly 50 booths from area businesses and organizations offering products and services for seniors. There will also be free breakfast, free lunch, free health screenings along with flu and pneumonia shots available with insurance and Medicare filing available. Health screenings will include vision, otoscopic exam, BMI, blood pressure and blood sugar. Seniors can also play Bingo and win prizes.
The free breakfast is sponsored by Goodwin Funeral Home and Archer Weston Funeral and Cremation Center. It will be served by Hoops Restaurant. The free lunch is sponsored by Bee Hive Memory Care and Kokomo Healthcare Center. It will be served by Shoups Country Foods and Catering.
Via Quest’s Enthusiologist Jeff Riker will entertain. Stage sponsor is Clinton County’s Senator Brian Buchanan.
Prizes include a gift certificate for Imperial Travel or cash (your choice), Bingo game prizes and door prizes galore from exhibitors with ideas on how to improve your quality of life.
Due to parking concerns near the Community Life Center, people will be able to park in the Frankfort High School parking lot nearest to Maish Road. There will be a shuttle bus available to take individuals from the parking lot to the Community Life Center and back throughout the event. This Shuttle Service is sponsored by BCS Landscaping Design.
