The Purdue Extension -Clinton County is offering a ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification class this spring for food service professionals and others responsible for food safety.
The two-day course will be held May 7 and May 15, 2026, at the Clinton County Extension Office computer lab, located at 1111 S. Jackson St., Frankfort, IN 46041.
About the Program
ServSafe educates food service workers about essential food safety practices. The Food Protection Manager certification is ServSafe’s highest credential and satisfies Indiana’s requirements to become a Certified Food Protection Manager.
The training focuses on five key areas:

Foodborne microorganisms and allergens

Personal hygiene
-
Purchasing, receiving, and storage

Facilities, cleaning and sanitation

Managing pests
Participants must score 70 percent or higher on the exam to earn certification. The credential is valid for five years.
A valid photo ID with signature is required to sit for the exam. Acceptable forms of identification include a driver’s license, state ID, student ID, military ID, employee ID, U.S. green card, or valid passport.
Schedule
Day 1:
Training: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Day 2:
Training: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Exam: 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (EST)
The full two-day training includes the manual and a proctored exam.
