Several Frankfort Swimmers Advance to Sagamore Finals

Frankfort High School has several swimmers advance to the finals of the Sagamore Conference meet on Saturday during the prelims Thursday night.

Frankfort JV Teams Victorious

The Lady Hot Dogs JV team won their fifth straight game Thursday night over Western Boone thanks to a Sydni Whitaker game winning 3-pointer at the buzzer.  Whitaker finished with 9 points.  Heather Massingill shined on both ends of the floor adding 11 points and Vanessa Guardado chipped in 9 points.  Varsity will travel to WEBO tonight looking to complete the sweep.

The JV Boys team won last night 61-44 against Western Boone. The team put together a solid performance overall as a group. They got off to a slow start on the defensive side of the ball but Eli Oldham’s early shooting carried them through to a 12-12 tie at the end of the first quarter. The Dogs outscored the Stars 20-10 in the second quarter and 29-22 in the second half. Austin Penry led the team with 15 points and did a good job on the boards inside. Kris Russell and Eli Oldham chipped in 14 each and Kye Kirby had 13.

Rossville Girls Lose

The Rossville girls’ basketball team lost to Tri-Central 53-38 Thursday night in Sharpsville.

Madison Miller led the team with nine points. Emma Lawson and Tori Skiles each scored eight. Kennedy Houser led the team with 10 rebounds. Avery Gobett grabbed eight boards.
