Sharon S. Shedron

Sharon S. Shedron, 76, of Rossville, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024, at Mulberry Health.  She was born April 3, 1948, in Flora to Ray and Mary (Mann) Cloe.  She married Joe Shedron in September in 1970.  He preceded her in death in January of 2019.

Sharon was a graduate of Greenwood High School.  She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in education from Indiana University and master’s degree from IU Kokomo.  She was a passionate teacher for Carroll Elementary School before moving to Rossville Elementary School where she spent the majority of her teaching career.  She taught the kids as her own and enjoyed shaping and molding the lives of the local youth.

Sharon was a member of the Clinton County Home Ec Club, the Red Hats and Purple Chaps, and attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Lafayette.  She was an avid player of Wordle, and enjoyed sewing, reading, and watching all different sports on TV.  She was a talented artist and enjoyed painting as well.  She was a lover of animals, especially horses and dogs.   She loved her family and was the biggest cheerleader of her children and grandchildren.  She loved spending time and making memories with her family.  Her witty personality and love for learning will be missed by all.

She is survived by her sons, Chad (Jennifer) and Kyle Shedron; siblings, Carol (Joyce Ann) Bordner and Charles Bordner; six grandchildren, Carolyn (Payton) Dennison, Sophia Shedron, Victoria (Nick) Richardson, Catherine (Taylor) Shedron, Olivia Shedron, Nicholas Shedron; step-grandchildren, Caleb and Isaac Pearson and was a beloved aunt to many.

Along with her husband, Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; a brother William Bordner; and a half-sister, Ruby Skelton; daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Shedron.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 4pm until the time of the service at 7pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel in Rossville.  Pastor Allen Weldy will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be made in Sharon’s honor to the Rossville School Foundation, for the scholarship program, at PO Box 530, Rossville, IN 46065.  Messages of condolences may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
