Sheriff Brendon Bright Announces Key Leadership Appointments at Clinton County Sheriff’s Office

Britt Ostler has been appointed as the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office Jail Matron and began serving in the role on May 30, 2026. Ostler brings nearly 20 years of experience from the Clinton County Auditor’s Office. She served as the Clinton County Payroll Deputy for 12 years and most recently served as the Clinton County Auditor for the past 7½ years.

 

 

 

 

Tobe Leazenby has been appointed as Chief Deputy of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and will begin his duties on June 15, 2026. Leazenby brings 39 years of Sheriff’s Office experience from Carroll County, including eight years as the former Carroll County Sheriff and 11½ years as Chief Deputy.

 

According to Sheriff Bright, the appointments reflect the agency’s continued commitment to serving the community. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office said it will continue to move forward with professionalism, integrity and dedication to public service under its new leadership team.
