Shirley R. Egelhoff

Shirley R. Egelhoff, 85, a long time Geetingsville area resident, died June 7, 2022 at 10:50 p.m. at Wesley Manor Retirement Community.  She was born on April 2, 1937 in Clinton County to Frank Ross and Mary Jane (Stern) Galvin.  She married Morris E. Egelhoff on September 15, 1957 in Frankfort and he preceded her in death on July 25, 2021.

Shirley was a 1956 graduate of Colfax High School.  She was a homemaker and had worked in the telephone office inside the Manson Store then for Indiana Bell in Lebanon.  After 11 years of service at Peter Paul in Frankfort, she became the accountant for Egelhoff Auto Salvage in Geetingsville.  She had attended Manson Congregational Christian Church and also Geetingsville Presbyterian.  She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.  Shirley was an artist and enjoyed ceramics, dolls, and stained glass.

She is survived by a  son:  Ross (Tanja) Egelhoff of Cutler, daughter:  Julie (Alan) White of Lafayette, 3 grandchildren: Brooke, Evan & Justin, 5 great-grandchildren:  Evan James “EJ”, Tristin, Grace Vivian, Dash and Stephen.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers: George, Frances, and John Galvin and her sister: Martha Bridges.

 Funeral Services:

 Family services were held.  Burial was in Geetingsville Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the Indiana School for the Blind & Visually Impaired, 7725 N.
