Shirley Schooley, 79, of Frankfort, died November 11, 2021 at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born April 24, 1942 in Holly Hill, Kentucky to the late Orville & Helen (Lay) Lovett. She was previously married to Richard W. Schooley for 24 years.
Shirley attended schools in Kentucky. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church and a previous member of the Bethel Bible Holiness Church. She spent her time managing and caring for the residents at the Main Street Hotel for over 40 years until it closed. Family was very important to Shirley; she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by: 3 Daughters: Helen “Fran” Bray of Frankfort, Wanda Melton of Frankfort, Tina Bottoms of Frankfort, Brother: Glenis Lovett of Camden, Sister: Christine Brown of Frankfort, 12 Grandchildren, Ricky, Casey, Jeramy, Justin, Chad, April, Kristina, Mandy, Shauna, Brandon, Charissa and Chance and- several Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Brenda Lovett
Funeral Services:
Visitation will be 12 noon to 2 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
