Shirley T. Nicholas, 87, of Frankfort, died December 1, 2021 with her son by her side, at Mulberry Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 9, 1934 in Lima, Ohio to Russell R. & Leanore A. (Farley) Stuber. She married Fred A. Nicholas in 1954 in Lima, Ohio and he preceded her in death on January 8, 1989.
Shirley attended school in Ada, Ohio and grew up in Lima, Ohio before moving to Frankfort in 1954. She worked for Koertge Enterprises. She was also manager of Stewart Manor Mobile Home Park for 31 years. She was a member of the New Life Assembly of God and the Moose Lodge wh
ere she was Past Regent. Shirley loved to cook, bowling, cross stitch and enjoyed cooking for the election board every year.
She is survived by 1 son: Timothy L. (Theresa) Nicholas of Lafayette, step-daughter: Alyce (Raymond) Miller of Indianapolis, 2 grandchildren: Tonja (Matt) Wharff of Roachdale and Tim (Heather) Nicholas of San Diego, CA, 3 step-grandchildren: Annette (Justin Rottler) Hyde of Lafayette, Lisa (Jason) Hayes of Cincinnati and Garrett Sparks of Lafayette, 5 great-grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 6 brothers, 1 sister and a step-son.
Funeral Services:
Visitation will be from Noon-2 p.m., December 7, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Kilmore Cemetery.
