A single-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon resulted in the death of a Frankfort woman on Washington Avenue.
On April 9, just before 1 p.m., Deputies with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle crash in the area of 2370 Washington Ave. in Frankfort where preliminary investigations suggested that a 2002 Honda Odyssey minivan, operated by Lindsey Mornout, 44, of Frankfort was traveling westbound on Washington Avenue when, for an unknown reason, left the roadway to the north, authorities report.
The vehicle reportedly entered the ditch, striking a sign and became airborne after hitting the embankment, coming to a rest after striking a tree.
Frankfort Police and Clinton County EMS attempted lifesaving measures, but Mornout was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
