Six Lebanon Educators Presented With Distinguished Educator Awards, 2024 Teacher Of The Year Announced

Six Lebanon Community School Corporation educators were honored Tuesday night for their dedication to the classroom and the students of Lebanon, and the 2024 Teacher of the Year was named.

The corporation honored six teachers on Tuesday, April 23 for being distinguished educators in the schools. Honorees included Diana Shirley of Central Elementary, Becky Warren of Harney Elementary, Lib King of Hattie B. Stokes Elementary, Hannah Anderson of Perry-Worth Elementary School, Grant Ansert of Lebanon Middle School and Matt Carroll of Lebanon High School.

“Each year, every school selects a teacher who embodies the essence of a distinguished educator, representing the best of their school community,” the corporation released.

The corporation narrowed down the list of educators to one chosen teacher who was awarded the Lebanon Community School Corporation 2024 Teacher of the Year. The selected teacher will represent the corporation in the 2024 Indiana Teacher of the Year program later this year.

This year, the corporation selected Matt Carroll from Lebanon High School as the recipient of the 2024 Teacher of the Year honor.
