Snow Coming to Area Tonight and All Day Sunday

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Special Weather Statement for Clinton County for accumulating snow on Sunday. Snow is expected to develop over central Indiana overnight tonight and much of the day Sunday as 1 to 3 inches of total snowfall is expected by late Sunday. Isolated higher amounts are possible.

A southern system will combine with an upper wave to produce snow starting from the southwest tonight This will result in slick spots on untreated roads and sidewalks and reduced visibility in snow. Temperatures will drop through the teens and single digits Sunday night.

If traveling on Sunday, allow extra time and be prepared for sock spots and reduced visibility.

Arctic air will move into the area early next week. Wind chills below zero are expected at times Sunday night into mid week next week. Additional snow accumulations will be possible Thursday and Friday with arctic air flow coming in behind the system.
