Sonya was born on October 18, 1966, to Robert and Sandra Wagner Casady and has lived in Texas for the past 25 years. She passed away on November 28, 2017, in McAllen at the age of 51.
She ismarried to Daniel De La Cruz and he survives. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Seaven (Niramar) De La Cruz, Aizalyn (Michael Tracy) De La Cruz, and Jaspar De La Cruz; grand daughters Jayleen, Aylyn and Marceleen; parents Sandra and Wyatt Poppe, and Virgina Casady; siblings, Michelle (Kim) Boyd, Ryan (Anita) Casady, Keith (Laura) Poppe and Cindy Howard. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Casady and a sister Michele Isaacson.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 27, from 6-9 p.m. at Mulberry Health and Retirement in the Community Room. We will be gathering to share stories and remember the life of our beloved Sonya and dine on some delicious food.
