As part of the Safe Routes to School project, Frankfort Street Superintendent Jason Forsythe has announced that the 400 block of South First Street just north of West Boone Street will be closed Wednesday beginning at 8 a.m. to remove a very large tree that needs to be removed.
Forsythe said “No Parking — Police Order” signs will be on the east side of First Street to warn motorists not to enter the area. Forsythe said it will take two to three hours to remove the tree.
