Spectacular Total Eclipse Experience In Kirklin Indiana

Kirklin Indiana was absolutely the place to be Monday in Clinton County. Their were several viewing areas planned for the day in Kirklin. Travelers Point Distillery, Kirklin Christian Church, and the Kirklin Park.

Hundreds traveled to Kirklin to join in the many activities in town. WILO radio with Cindy Loveless was live from Travelers Point with several give away items.
Guitarist Dale Bitner entertained the crowd with the great tunes, and Darryl Shoe was cooking pulled pork and Shoe said that he felt they done very well as he totally ran out of pulled pork.

Traffic on 421 through Kirklin was like a non stop parade. From several reports we received throughout the entire time about all majors roads were the same. After leaving Kirklin northbound on 421 and reaching 28, the traffic coming from eastbound out of Tipton area it was non stop as far as the eyes could see. Tipton was another great spot listed for the eclipse.

It would be very interesting to actually know how many people actually traveled to Indiana for the great event.

Also cheers to the parents making sure the children were wearing their eclipse glasses at the proper times. These times were very accurate and helpful to know.

Partial eclipse starts: 1:50:52
Total eclipse starts: 3:06:59
Mid-eclipse: 3:08:04
Total eclipse ends: 3:09:09
Partial eclipse ends: 4:23:08

While Clinton County Daily News and WILO radio spent the afternoon in Kirklin for the eclipse Russ and Susan Kaspar were in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and sent us a couple great photos that can be seen below.
