F.U.N. (Frankfort’s Unified Neighborhoods) partnered with the 7 Lights of Trepidation and hosted First Spooky Trails Trunk and Treat at the TPA Park. Due to safety restrictions F.U.N wanted to put on an event for the community like in past 2 years. After contacting Mayor Judy Sheets and it was decided a drive thru trunk and treat would be the safest for all.
It was a total success. There were 16 decorated car’s handing out candy along with Mayor Judy Sheets, Frankfort Police Dept, The Humane Society, Frankfort Fire Dept, Sheriff’s Office, Frito Lay, and Wilo. It was nonstop car’s from 5pm to 9pm. It was just amazing to see all the children in their costumes and enjoying all the Spooks and Spooky Trails.
They had some special spooks that roamed the park to greet and spook all that drove through.
We would like to congratulate the winners of the best decorated trunk:
Paul Brown took First Place and received $100.00 and a 1st place trophy.
Kristina Rosero Compos took 2nd place and received $75.00 and a 2nd place trophy
Brandi Hollenbeck took 3rd place and received $50.00 and a 3rd place trophy.
However, I believe they were all winners along with our community.
It was estimated that 5000 people came through the park. We would like to say thank you to all that at times waited at least one hour to get through the line some said it took them 2 hours. We so appreciate your patience and was told that it was worth the wait.
Thank you to all that donated candy or monetary donations, we would not be able to put on our events without your generosity. Tammy says they are already planning to make this an annual event.
