The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces on Wednesday, July 25, weather permitting there will be several twenty minute closures on the State Road 26 Bridge over the Wildcat Creek between the hours of 7 a.m.-7 p.m. The contractor will finish setting beams for the new bridge. INDOT is encouraging motorists to seek an alternate route.
The project was awarded to Superior Construction for $4.7 million. This project will replace the bridge on State Road 26 Bridge over the Wildcat Creek and will restrict traffic to one 10′ lane. Traffic will be controlled at the bridge with a traffic signal. This bridge is scheduled to be opened to two lanes of traffic in November of this year.
INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
