The much anticipated hospital facility featuring both St. Vincent and Witham Health Services was unveiled to the public Sunday in a family community day and open house at the facility located at 2485 E. Wabash Street or right across the street from Walmart.

“We’re just thrilled to be continuing our ministry in Frankfort and Clinton County,” said Chief Operating Officer for the St. Vincent Medical Group Brad McNabb. “St. Vincent has had a long history here and we’re just very pleased that we found a way to partner with Witham to continue our ministry and our vision.”

McNabb said St. Vincent and Witham have had a long standing relationship. He added that their physicians and nurse practioners are the “rock bed of our ministry here in Frankfort which is what really drove us to continue our work here.”

Frankfort Mayor Chris McBarnes officially welcomes both St. Vincent and Witham Health Services to Frankfort at the open house on Sunday afternoon.

“We’re just thrilled that the community has opened their arms again to St. Vincent and just really look forward to a lot of years of great care here,” said McNabb.

The event began with comments from Frankfort Mayor Chris McBarnes, President and CEO of Witham Health Services Ray Ingham, McNabb and Clinton County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Shan Sheridan. That was followed by the official ribbon cutting.

Executive Director of Business Development Sharon Keck said it feels fabulous to be in Frankfort.

“We are so excited to have a real presence in Clinton County,” said Keck. “Clinton County has supported Witham for years and years and years. We are very happy to be within the borders of Clinton County and providing services directly to our patients here and to grow here.”

Keck added Witham and St. Vincent getting together was a result of “the right partnership.”

“We both have the patients in mind,” said Keck. “They are strong in primary care with some specialties. Witham is strong in specialists. We came to the table and were able to solve our problems and you have before you the facility that was a result of that.”

St. Vincent began seeing patients on December 10 and Witham started seeing patients on January 7. The collaboration of the two entities reinforces the continued commitment to Clinton County and surrounding residents.

In Indiana, Ascension’s St. Vincent operates 24 hospitals in addition to a comprehensive network of affiliated joint ventures, medical practices and clinic serving central and southern Indiana and employs more than 15,000 associates.

Witham has served the resident of Boone and surrounding counties for over 102 years. They have offices in Crawfordsville, Jamestown, Lebanon, Thorntown, Whitestown at Anson and Zionsville in addition to the new one in Frankfort.

St. Vincent Family Medicine Physician Tamera Vandergriff summed up the new facility.

“This place is awesome, it’s unique and it provides the best patient care you can get in Clinton County,” said Vandergriff. “We’re about wellness, we’re about providing for the continuum of care from newborn until a natural death. We’re here to take care of the whole spectrum of patients.”
