Stacy Baugh Legacy Scholarship Applications Now Open For Frankfort Seniors

Mrs. Stacy Baugh

The Community Schools of Frankfort announced that applications for the Stacy Baugh Legacy Scholarship are being accepted until Tuesday, April 9.

The Stacy Baugh Legacy Scholarship was created in memory of Mrs. Baugh’s passion for the outdoors, science and monarch butterfly projects alongside her passion for programming for local youth, the environment and her community.

According to the scholarship details, Mrs. Baugh “found joy in learning and in supporting the development of her students, fellow teachers, friends and family members and described teaching as her passion and her hobby.”

The scholarship commemorates her life as a Frankfort High School science teacher and as a mentor who was loved and admired by students and staff throughout her time with the corporation.

The scholarship was founded in 2014 and awards a $4,000 annually to one graduating senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0, a dedicated path to obtain a degree in Earth and Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Science Education, Health Sciences, Engineering, Math or Computer Sciences. The scholarship will be awarded to a student who has been accepted at a post-secondary institution.

The digital scholarship applications were made available to seniors today, March 19 via email, and the applications are due to Amanda Graham-Bishop at [email protected] no later than Tuesday, April 9.
