On May 10, the Indiana State Police were contacted by the Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P.) lodge in Porter County to investigate an allegation of a theft by a former Porter County Sheriff’s Department employee. This is an ongoing investigation. When the investigation is complete, all findings will be submitted to the prosecuting authority for review and action as deemed appropriate by that office.
It is Indiana State Police policy not to comment on active investigations.
