FRANKFORT, Ind. — State Representative Mark Genda is inviting residents to attend an upcoming community discussion titled “For the People” this Thursday evening at the Frankfort Community Public Library.
The event will take place in the Skanta Theatre, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation beginning at 6 p.m.
Special guest State Representative J.D. Prescott will speak about his proposal to reduce or eliminate property taxes in Indiana. Following the presentation, Prescott will take questions from members of the audience and discuss concerns surrounding property taxes and related issues affecting Hoosiers.
Organizers say the event is intended to provide an open forum for residents to learn more about legislative proposals and participate in an important community conversation about the future of taxation in Indiana.
Representative Mark Genda encourages local residents to attend, ask questions, and engage in meaningful discussion on an issue that impacts homeowners, families, and communities across the state.
Thursday night’s meeting is expected to provide an opportunity for citizens to hear directly from lawmakers and share their thoughts on one of Indiana’s most talked-about policy topics.
